I’m sorry, I didn’t blog that much last month. October is an all-month long birthday celebration for me. I had a hectic schedule. I had to treat almost all of my friends and family to endless buffet dinners and crazy gimmicks.
Nonetheless, I had a wonderful time. For some, celebrating birthdays could be burdensome. Not for me. It’s an enjoyable social exercise that’s worth spending my entire bucks on. Well, not quite, for obviously there are so many affordable choices available to those like me, have the habit to scrimp on funds.
For example, the buffet craze is now in. There are restaurants offering budget buffets like the one our group, the “crazy 4” –Leslie, Jenny, and Angie– tried, the Tramway Buffet, in Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City. You’re P200++ here will definitely go a long way.
Then I brought my mom to try Yaki Mix in Greenbelt 3, Makati City, and we have a superb dining experience.
There’s also something extra special with my birthday bonding with my girl group at Victory Church Fellowship at The Old Spaghetti House or simply TOSH were we simply chose their “eat-all-you-can” pasta.
And then, the best thing about my October birthday celebration was the “boodle fight” I had with colleagues in my workplace.
Indeed, life is fun. And as I enter a new season in my life, I pray and believe that there would be more laughter, more joyous experiences (travel and otherwise), more friends to meet and more opportunities to share blessings with.
“Even so, I have noticed one thing, at least, that is good. It is good for people to eat, drink, and enjoy their work under the sun during the short life God has given them, and to accept their lot in life…” Ecclesiastes 5:18.
Love God, love life. 🙂
