I’ve been wanting to blog about this product for some time, but I delayed doing so after I finished almost half of the tube. I bought The FaceShop’s Chia Seed Fresh Cleansing Foam late last year, and I couldn’t believe that I still have a little left, and it’s already May 2016!
My take on this facial wash: hmmmmm… Honestly, I bought this product when I ran out of my Innisfree Apple Juicy Deep Cleansing Foam. I was looking for a replacement that would deliver the same results somehow but I was a bit disappointed.
Strong points: TFS’ Chia Seed Fresh Cleansing Foam is economical, just a few squeeze is enough to work into a rich lather. It does made my face clean and removes makeup, but after washing my face TWICE with it. But it does deliver a squeaky clean feeling which is perfect during hot and hotter days.
Weak points: it doesn’t have a nice “come-on” smell unlike the Innisfree Apple Juicy foam (check out my review here) that gives off that fresh apple smell. After washing, I feel my face get taut as if I had a botox but that eventually wears off after about 5 minutes. Afterwards, my face feels a bit itchy on the sides after using this product.
From what I heard though, chia seeds, when incorporated into food, cosmetics, or skin care products, are good because it is high in antioxidants. So I guess, its not too bad at all. I’m still assured of a quality and healthy result. Maybe next time, I will find time to try other skin care formulation that utilizes chia seeds.
